Floor Planner is an online floor planning tool that allows you to create a room or entire home. It includes many common household items to use in floor plan and allows you to change the dimensions of objects. Note that you do not need an account to create a plan, but you do need one to save.

In the Classroom
Use this tool in your math class when discussing scale and measurement. Project it on an interactive whiteboard (or projector) and demonstrate how to use the tools. Have students use it to create a model of their classroom or have them choose a room from their home to recreate. Another fun activity to try is to have students design a room for a favorite book character.You must be registered and logged in to add items to your favorites.
