There's not a lot of presentation to these pages, but each contains a selection of bird or animal sound files. The quiz asks students to name each animal sound, and it's not as easy as it sounds! The sound files do not require any special browser plug-ins. Turn on your speakers and give this one a listen.

In the Classroom

Use this site as a resource during a lesson or unit on acid rain. Have cooperative learning groups explore the site, with the intentions of summarizing the information in a multimedia presentation. Have cooperative learning groups create online books using a tool such as Bookemon, reviewed here. Have groups tell the "acid" rain, explaining where and how it happens most. Great for a pre-discussion activity about the efforts to stop acid rain.
