Create and customize interactive games and activities with Wordwall's easy to use tools. Choose from many different options, including quizzes, matching games, drag and drop activities, and more. After creating an account, choose from shared activities, modify them to fit your needs, and then share them with your students as an assignment or link. Create a new activity by selecting a template and following the directions to add information and images if desired. At the time of this review, free plans offer access to 18 interactives, 15 printables, and the ability to create five resources.

In the Classroom
Use the interactive games found at Wordwall to use at computer stations or home to practice skills or prepare for upcoming quizzes and tests. Use the embed code to add your games onto your class website for easy student access. Instead of asking students to memorize dates or events, help them by organizing the information into common features. For example, during a Civil War unit, group together events taking place in different cities to help provide context for students. Include a link to your quizzes on your class webpage or blog for students to practice at any time using the URL or embed code. Enhance technology use and learning by having students create their own Z-A quizzes to share with peers when studying for tests or use as an introduction with class presentations. This quiz generator is also a great resource to use during professional development sessions with your peers. Trace is a simple to use photo editing tool that instantly removes backgrounds from images and changes backgrounds. After creating an account, upload your photo, and Trace removes the background and leaves the image's main focus. Download the edited image as a PNG file or continue through the additional options to add a new color background, upload a new image for the background, use one of Trace's background images, or edit using the crop tool. When finished, download your image to your device.
In the Classroom
Bookmark this site for many classroom uses. Combine your downloaded image with others using a variety of tools, including Google Slides. Choose a background image of a city being studied, a different time, or in a far-away setting like the moon, then place your student image on top. Resize the image to fit the scene. Include this image as a starter for class projects. Use images on top of book covers for book talks, create images for story characters and heroes, or use for weather reports. The ideas for using this tool are only limited by your imagination and that of your students. We all know that learners need feedback. To maximize the benefit from that feedback, it should be given immediately -- ideally after each question. Google Forms can make that happen using conditional branching, the ability to send a user to a different question (or a different page of questions) based on the answer the user supplies. Learn to make your forms more functional and help every student be successful on your next quiz! As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Create a Google Form. 2. Use branching to facilitate instant remediation and feedback. 3. Discuss tips and tricks for management of Google Forms. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.

RecordCast is more than a screen recorder; it also includes editing tools to add text, music, and transitions after downloading your recording. Use RecordCast's options to record your entire screen or just a tab or application. When finished, save to download to your device. Although registration isn't required, it allows you to save recordings and export completed videos in different formats for easier sharing.
In the Classroom
Use this handy screen recording tool in a variety of ways in your classroom. Record tutorials for students to demonstrate how to access and use online sites, create recordings for substitutes to explain how to find and use the software on your computer, or make a how-to demo on where to find information on your class website to share with students and parents. Microsoft Teams is a great all-in-one hub for the collaborative classroom. This "basics" session will introduce you to channels, tabs and posts which are the foundation of communication and collaboration in Microsoft Teams. When used with remote learning best practices, these building blocks can help you create a welcoming environment for your students. Join us to make the best use of these tools to provide structure for your remote learning environment. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Learn about Microsoft Teams settings and options; 2. Understand how to use channels to foster student communication; and 3. Plan for the use of Microsoft Teams to support instruction. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.

In the Classroom
Include Same or Different? as part of your math routine to encourage mathematical thinking and discussion in your classroom. Record student responses on your whiteboard or using an online tool such as Google Jamboard, reviewed here. Share a link to your completed Jamboards with students to use as a reference for previous discussions. As students become more proficient in comparing and contrasting images, ask them to complete them on their own before sharing with the class. Insert images within your curated lessons created with a learning management system such as Curipod, reviewed here. Choose from over 100,000 ready-made templates for use with many different programs, including Word, Google Docs, Adobe, WordPress, and more at Free Templates. Register using your email to begin viewing and downloading templates to personalize. Select options by file format or type of publication desired. Use the keyword search to find specific content; for example, use Education & Free to find a variety of templates (over 1,000) for use in educational settings, including flyers, brochures, and posters. Select the file to download, then choose the free option. This option requires that users give credit to the source of the template and provides wording to copy and paste onto digital sites or print copies.

In the Classroom
Bookmark and save this site as a time-saving option for a variety of classroom uses. Share with students to use when creating class projects. For example, choose a brochure for students to use to create and share book reviews, state research projects, or to document a science experiment. Include completed templates on larger presentations using Sway, reviewed here. In addition to presentations created using these templates, be sure to include videos, images, and more within students' Sway presentations.
