Explain the idea of cultural perception and differences before allowing students to access the site on individual computers. Have students open both this site and that of a popular US news source, pulling up stories on the same issue. Have students create a Venn diagram of the differences in coverage, perceptions and tilt. Use the articles on this site as writing prompts for students at the end of a unit or lesson on current legislative measures being debated by Congress. Many of the articles span content crossing US borders, and some are controversial enough that it could stir up a myriad of student responses.
