There is a lot to explore here. You could start with the home page and the many articles listed there. Have small groups divide up the articles to read and investigate. Then have students with the same article meet together to become the expert on that topic (in cooperative learning, this is known as Jigsaw). Have each student in the Jigsaw group create an Awesome ScreenShot, where they can make digital notes with lines, text, or shapes. Once they form back into their original small group, they can report what they learned to the other group members.Add your comments below (available only to members) | Become a Member

Share the site on an interactive whiteboard or projector, and use it as a springboard for an ethics discussion during science class. Though there are a wide array of articles, some capture and illustrate arguments over the debate of stem cell research, Pluto's classification, and climate change. At the end of a unit, open one of these articles and use the real-world information provided to spark a classroom debate. Students can use the knowledge they have gained, in addition to seeing its practical application. This is a very useful site for science enrichment!Add your comments below (available only to members) | Become a Member
