This website is extremely informative and provides students with details about everyday illnesses and injuries, emotional support, puberty, nutrition, and more! There is such a wealth of information available at this website, teachers can find numerous subjects, activities and information. Several kid-approved recipes are also provided. Be sure to check out the movies - they provide general science information and simple explanations of the many systems of the body (and are quite entertaining). FLASH is required for some of the activities.

Specifics include cosmetics, germs, food safety, hand washing, careers in food science, online games, interactive coloring pages and more! While most of the content appears elementary, there is information on food science careers and some higher level informaiton under Kids, Teens, and Educators.

If you want a "healthier" class, use this website to help students understand the importance of hand washing and staying healthy! There are age-appropriate activities for all grades at this website. Designed for use on-line, this unit could also be done off-line using newspaper sale advertising. This lesson plan was one of the winners in a lesson plan contest sponsored by TeachersFirst.
