The ReadLife Bookshelf on the Barbara Bush Foundation website offers a free online collection of books aimed at adults, children, families, and educators. This resource was developed in partnership with Worldreader's BookSmart app and includes guided activities for both readers and instructors. Each month features a new selection of books along with themed guides and resources for additional support, accessible by entering a specific library code, but you don't have to have one. The text and settings can be customized to the reader. Books are for all ages and available in English, Spanish and Ukrainian.

NotebookLM is the handy study aid you never knew you needed. Add links to websites and videos, text, and documents to create study guides, timelines, an audio podcast, and an AI-generated video summarizing the information provided. Follow the prompts to add one or more items to your notebook. When ready, use the "Notebook Guide" to create study guides, FAQs, a table of contents, a timeline, or a briefing document. Once you create documents, you can select them to gather and develop additional resources, such as an outline, or ask NotebookLM to suggest related ideas. The audio summary option creates a two-person conversation in the form of a podcast to discuss the information, offering customization options that include the ability to focus the discussion on a specific topic or audience. The materials are shareable with a custom link, and you can share audio podcasts and videos with a separate link from the notebook link.

Transform over a thousand classic books into choose-your-own-adventure games using Playbrary and artificial intelligence (AI). Playbrary works with the free version of ChatGPT, reviewed here to generate interactive game choices using over one thousand books. Create games in one of two ways: use the "Play With Our Prompt Generator" link to select one of the books in the dropdown list, such as Jane Eyre and The Jungle Book, and choose "Generate." Follow the prompts in ChatGPT to play the interactive game. Use the "Play Now" link to select from a more extensive library of books on Playbrary and begin the choose-your-own-adventure game. After playing the game, players can borrow a digital version of their book. Always verify the accuracy of information shared when using AI tools.

Staying current with the latest AI tools is time-consuming, and choosing appropriate tools becomes difficult when there are so many available options. TeacherServer is your hub for finding and using AI tools that save time and increase efficiency. Create a free account to begin using TeacherServer, then explore content by selecting from categories in the Top 15 AI Tools for K-12 Teachers that include general resources, content area tools, and professional topics such as leadership and tools to use with parents. Each category contains dozens of tools, such as lesson plan generators, standards navigators, and assessment generators. After selecting a tool to describe grade level and objectives, fill in the form and add personalized instructions if desired. Copy the results, add them to a Word or Google document, or save them to your TeacherServer account. Save your favorite tools to find and access them easily from your account dashboard.

The Congressional Medal of Honor Society presents the Veterans Day Lesson Plans connected to their Medal of Honor Character Development Program. Scrolling down the page, you will find three lessons for Middle and High School students, plus several lower and upper elementary lessons to use in your classroom. On the top menu of this page, you will see a tab For Educators. Clicking that will bring up a drop-down menu with an Overview, Lessons, Training, Webinars, Resources, and Path to Honor. The lessons are grouped by Elementary and Secondary. Scroll down the page and find a link for a book list for elementary students and a link for the 12 Dear Young Americans lesson plans and the video.

Connected Papers generates visual graphs of connected and similar papers based on your search queries. Begin with a search for a topic or use the name of a paper to find academic research papers, select a title that fits your criteria, and then select a paper to build your graph. Create a graph with links to scholarly papers relating to your topic and clickable links to view the documents. Free accounts allow members to create five monthly graphs.
