Women Rock the Vote
Women's Equality Day is celebrated on August 26th. Take a moment to reflect with your students on the power and importance of the 19th amendment using these three resources related to equal rights.
Grades 4-12
With Liberty and Justice for All
Engage your students in learning about the Women's Suffrage Movement and the Civil Rights Movement, with this virtual field trip, video, and exhibit from the Henry Ford Museum. Find detailed lesson plans including standards for grades 4-12.
Grades 8-12
Jewish Women's Archive
Read the stories of Jewish women (mainly from the United States). Archives can be searched by name or by collection. Categories include Women of Valor, Power Couples, Western Pioneers, and the Feminist Revolution. Each profile includes a short biography.

Women, Their Rights and Nothing Less
The Newseum's Digital Classroom offers a vast collection of primary sources about the women's suffrage movement, interactive timelines, a media map that plots primary sources on a US map for a visual representation of the movement, and lesson plans.
