Educational podcasts have become incredible resources that offer students engaging ways to learn about everything from historical events to scientific discoveries. Dedicated podcast creators craft thoughtful, accessible content that fits perfectly into your lessons! These digital storytellers blend entertainment with education, bringing complex topics to life through compelling narratives, expert interviews, and creative sound design. This week, we’re sharing several educational podcasts and tools that students can use to create their own podcasts.

Grades K-4
Noodle Loaf
Noodle Loaf is an interactive podcast that incorporates music education with art, rhythm, and social awareness. Each episode is approximately fifteen minutes or less. Listen to it on the website or save it to a Spotify playlist.
Grades K-5
Julie's Library
Actress Julie Andrews (from The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins) and her daughter share and read their favorite children's books in this engaging podcast filled with music and activities. Select an episode to read the details and begin playing the podcast

Adobe Podcast
Adobe Podcast offers an easy-to-use platform for recording podcasts with high-quality audio. Teachers can use Adobe Podcast to guide students in creating their own podcast episodes for assignments, sharing research, or building communication skills.
Grades 6-12
Podbean
Podbean offers free podcasting creation tools for teachers and secondary students. Use the streaming features to broadcast live or record and edit your podcast. After creating an account, create a new podcast or import one from another location.
Grades 3-12
Coffee Break Languages
Learn a language with free short, coffee-break-length (15-20 minute) podcasts. Scroll down the home page to select a language from the ten options provided, then click the free podcasts link and select one of the four difficulty levels.
Grades 2-5
What if World Podcast
Build critical thinking skills with this weekly storytelling program that answers "what if" questions submitted by kids. Questions include, "What if it snowed even in summer?" and "What if cats could be astronauts?" Podcasts run about twenty minutes long.
Grades 6-12
Pinecast
Pinecast is a podcast hosting service. Its free option includes uploads of up to 48MB, two free shows with up to ten episodes, and no run-time limit. Once logged in to your account, click the link to set up a podcast from scratch.
Grades K-12
Buzzsprout
Buzzsprout offers easy-to-use podcast hosting. The free account includes hosting for two hours of content a month that remain available for 90 days. A dashboard will guide you through the process and provide information on the remaining hosting time.
Grades 3-7
Solve It!- For Kids
This podcast is designed for elementary and middle school students and follows young detectives as they solve real-world science mysteries, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Each episode introduces different scientific concepts.
Grades 6-12
Short History Of...
Short History Of... is a weekly hour-long podcast that takes you back in time to learn the stories behind historical events. Hear about diverse topics like the economic factors that lead to the French Revolution of the late 18th century.

Spreaker
With a click of a button, you can create a live podcast. This super easy online tool instantly creates podcasts you can share with a URL or by using various social media options. Follow others and invite your class to follow your podcasts.
