Session Description:

Emergent readers struggle to work independently to improve and strengthen skills needed for literacy. Discover ways to create meaningful experiences that improve engagement, enhancement and extension of foundational skills to support success in reading and writing for early readers. These no-cost technology solutions will support an engaging literacy curriculum.

Objectives:
    • Identify the challenges in supporting emergent readers;
    • Discover objectives to support emergent readers;
    • Provide specific technology tools, and apps that support the objectives;
    • Investigate scaffolds to support student success and independence; and
    • Design ways to plan for success using your current technology situation and school population.
