Engage & Inspire with Reading Treks
On-Demand
Presented by Stephanie Bass
Session Description:
Background knowledge or context is, tragically, often a missing piece of the reading comprehension puzzle. TeachersFirst Reading Treks are built using Google Maps to chronicle a story character’s journey over the course of a book. Each stop along the way adds to student comprehension as they explore the information, visuals, and videos embedded in the map. Join us to see finished examples and get tips for making your own. Use Reading Treks in your lessons to give your students context for the stories they are reading.
