High school math teachers, especially those teaching AP students, may find MIT's online course materials useful. MIT has committed to putting its entire curriculum on the web, and these early offerings include syllabi, reading materials, and a variety of subject-specific class notes. Before using these pages, teachers, students, and parents should all be aware of what Open Courseware is and is not.

This site offers a detailed biographical treatment of Escher's work in illustrating perceptual and spatial phenomena and illusions. The site will be useful both for art instruction and for math or science study. We were delighted to find illustrations large enough to show the intricacies of these images. Even younger students will respond to, "What's going on in this picture?" discussions of these images.

Developed by a faculty member at Georgia Southern University with support from the National Science Foundation, this site offers a collection of demonstrations for precalculus, calculus, and post-calculus students using a variety of tools and media. None of these appears to require specialized equipment, and their utility will depend on their "fit" with individual curricula. Secondary math teachers may well find useful tools here.

Don't be fooled by the "plain Jane" look of this site or its slightly quirky search interface. Beneath it all lies a treasure trove of math lessons, activities, and games for elementary, middle school, and high school students. The site also includes a number of resources specifically for teachers. There's a real international flavor to the content, so math teachers will need to choose appropriate resources carefully. Still, there's much to use here.
