ClickView is a video-based educational platform offering thousands of high-quality, curriculum-aligned videos for students and teachers. With a focus on engagement, it provides resources for various subjects and grade levels, accompanied by interactive quizzes, lesson plans, and teaching resources to enhance learning. Teachers can customize playlists, create unique learning pathways, and assign content to students. This platform supports differentiated instruction, catering to diverse learning needs while saving teachers time with ready-to-use resources. In the Classroom

After watching a ClickView math video, present students with real-world problems related to the video's content. Have them work in pairs or small groups to solve the problems using the concepts they learned. Host a "Math Video Showcase" where students present math tutorial videos they made to the class, allowing for peer feedback and discussion. After viewing a video about art techniques or historical art movements, students can create their own artwork using the methods discussed. Following a ClickView science video, organize a hands-on experiment related to the video's content. For example, if the video discusses ecosystems, students can create mini-ecosystems in a jar. After watching a video on a literary topic or a story, have students create their own short stories or scripts incorporating themes, characters, or settings from the video. Share the stories using a digital storytelling tool such as Book Creator, reviewed here.

Water, Water Everywhere - is one of the TeachersFirst Help! I lost my media/library specialist collection found here. This article features topics and resources that explain how little fresh water there is in the world. The Introduction and Background Knowledge give facts about fresh water and explain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for accessible, clean water. The Activities section suggests several books to read that range from ages PreK to grade 12, with seven videos from which to choose. One activity suggests students practice walking with jugs of water balancing on their heads. Another activity is to simulate cleaning up bird feathers after an oil spill. Additional resources and activities are suggested in the Extensions section.

Include books from this list on your recommended books list to share with students. Engage students further by completing the activity about walking with a water container on their heads. Use Padlet, reviewed here to have students relate how it felt to balance and carry the water and how they could make getting water easier for the community. Possibly work with the physical education teacher to teach students how to balance a jug on their head and walk at the same time.

Teaching with videos engages and excites students, but finding the right video takes time. TEACHFLIX is a curated collection of videos shared by classroom teachers to put to immediate use in class. Begin by browsing by grade level or content area. If browsing by grade level, open up your choice to view all videos or narrow your selection by specific topics. No registration is required; however, sign up with your email to receive the Teaching with TEACHFLIX ebook to download, which includes suggestions and activities to use with videos. The videos are hosted on YouTube. If your district blocks YouTube, then they may not be viewable.

Knowing if students "caught what was taught" is crucial in instruction. This session introduces the concept of exit tickets and ways you can use them to gauge what your students took away from your lessons. Learn to use the data from these informal formative assessments to adjust your instructional plan to accommodate the needs of your students. Allow students who are ready to move on and give those who need additional instruction the attention they need. Join us to explore the use of exit tickets and determine how they can fit into your instructional plan. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Learn about three categories of exit tickets; 2. Understand how to use exit ticket data; and 3. Plan for the use of exit tickets in your setting. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.
