Most information for each product includes suggestions for getting started and move through more advanced skills. Many tutorials include images and text descriptions. Although not as robust, be sure to check out the Hot Topics links on the right-hand side of the page for some additional tutorials.

Bookmark this site on your computer and classrooms computers to find suggestions on how to use specific portions of Microsoft Office 10 software. Use your interactive whiteboard to share topics with students. Include this site with your bookmarks for computer tutorials using a bookmarking tool like Papaly, reviewed here. Papaly allows you to share and collaborate on curated bookmarks and also add comments. Encourage students to include comments (example: use this site to find great information on new features of Excel) when sharing resources using Papaly to make finding information easier for everyone. Ask students to enhance their learning and create infographics featuring tutorials of commonly used programs in your classroom. The animations make the presentation particularly interesting, and the topic can be integrated into a number of science or technology applications.

Many parents need additional information about online tools and cybersafety concerns, be sure to include a link to the site on your classroom website. For those familiar with Scratch, reviewed here, Snap! includes features that take it beyond simple drag and drop to make it an excellent application for introducing coding to older students. Make it easy for peers to find all of your screen recordings by uploading them to Padlet, reviewed here. Of course, by sharing them to Padlet you also introduce a new tech tool for them to try! Instead of a one-time professional development session, consider creating an ongoing podcast using Buzzsprout, reviewed here to share new technology tools, provide advice and tips, and answer common questions. The ISTE YouTube channel provides a great starting point for learning and sharing tech tips with peers.
