and Culture with Edtech

Sunday, December 3, 2023 ⬥ 4:45 – 5:45 PM
Presented by Karen Streeter and Ruth Okoye

Session Description:

Join us for an ascent up Mount Education to build a positive classroom culture where all students can reach new summits. In this expedition, we’ll use edtech tools to map out an inclusive basecamp where every learner feels welcome. Discover how technology can be a Sherpa, guiding and supporting student voice, meaningful collaboration, and empowerment. We’ll share best practices for using edtech picks and ropes to help students climb together by promoting agency, facilitating authentic feedback, and cultivating community. Leave camp feeling refreshed and inspired. With the right edtech gear and an intentional approach, ain’t no mountain high enough to keep your students from success!

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
    • Identify and apply strategies for creating an inclusive and positive classroom culture using edtech tools.;
    • Evaluate and select edtech tools that support student voice, collaboration, and empowerment in their own contexts;
    • Implement best practices for using edtech tools to promote student agency, feedback, and community in their classrooms; and
    • Reflect on their own experiences and challenges with using edtech tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
